The Gallery of Renown is the name of Bob Gregory’s Hall of Fame in the same way the Hall of Fame is the name of baseball’s list of Hall of Fame members. The GOR, in a manner of speaking, is the role call. With Bob’s passing, we need a metaphysical home for the Gallery itself.
The baseball Hall of Fame has the Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum. The GOR doesn’t need an actual building, though, so Bob Gregory’s Gallery of Renown and Museum is ridiculous. I thought “Bob’s Piano Bar” would be good – Bob played piano and most of his favorite musical artists were piano players – but a piano bar sounds too small. The Piano Bar might be a place to house the inner circle, but not the entire gallery. Bob’s Gallery sounds too much like the title of the role, and that might get confusing.
So, unless someone has a better idea, I’m going to call the imaginary, metaphysical (metaphorical?) home of the GOR “Bob’s Corner.” It’s quick and simple, easy to remember, and I know how to spell it. Done and done.
