Deja Vu

I’ve been tried, and I’ve been told

I’ve been lied to and I’ve been sold

I’ve been spun around in a hurricane

I’ve been knocked down, and I’ve been sat on

If only a time or two

But my heart had never seen

Me give up so easily

All I want is one more chance, to make a first impression

One more chance to say the word, to help me sweep you off your feet

One more chance at you; do you believe in deja vu?

Ice melts, and moonlight dances

In innocent eyes, in passing glances

As hearts tie up together on the pier

A ship brushed against my fingertips

And floated off in the night

My desperate fingers clawed the air

To reach for what was never there

All I want is one more chance, to make a first impression

One more chance to say the word, to help me sweep you off your feet

One more chance at you; do you believe in deja vu?

If I could build a time machine

And go back just a moment

Back to that ship I’d go

To find out what I’ll never know

All I want is one more chance, to make a first impression

One more chance to say the word, to help me sweep you off your feet

One more chance at you; do you believe in deja vu?
